Our comprehensive curriculum from Nursery to Grade 12 is designed to foster intellectual growth, creativity, and lifelong learning.

Classes Offered (Nursery–12th)

We offer a complete educational journey from the foundational years to senior secondary education, with specialized streams in Grade 11-12.

Pre-Primary (Nursery - KG)

Age 3-5 years. Focus on play-based learning, sensory development, and social skills.

Primary (Grade 1-5)

Foundation in core subjects with emphasis on reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.

Middle School (Grade 6-8)

Introduction to specialized subjects with project-based learning and critical thinking.

Secondary (Grade 9-10)

Curriculum Structure

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Curriculum

Greenwood International School follows the CBSE curriculum, which is known for its comprehensive and balanced approach to education. Our curriculum is designed to:

  • Provide a strong foundation in core subjects (Mathematics, Science, Social Science, English, Hindi)
  • Integrate value education and life skills into the learning process
  • Promote innovation and creative thinking through project-based learning
  • Prepare students for competitive examinations with additional support classes

For Grades 11-12, we offer three streams:

  • Science Stream: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, Computer Science/Physical Education
  • Commerce Stream: Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics, Mathematics/Informatics Practices
  • Humanities Stream: History, Political Science, Geography, Psychology/Sociology

  • Continuous & Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE): For Grades 1-10 with regular formative assessments
  • Unit Tests: Conducted after completion of each unit to assess understanding
  • Term Examinations: Half-yearly and annual examinations for comprehensive evaluation
  • Practical Assessments: For Science, Computer Science, and other practical subjects
  • Project Work: Individual and group projects to assess application of knowledge
  • Skill-Based Assessments: Evaluation of communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills

Regular parent-teacher meetings are conducted to discuss student progress and provide feedback.

Examination & Evaluation System

Continuous Assessment

Regular class tests, quizzes, assignments, and projects throughout the academic year contribute to 40% of the final grade.

Half-Yearly Examinations

Comprehensive exams conducted after the first term, covering 50% of the syllabus and contributing to 20% of the final grade.

Pre-Board Examinations

For Grade 10 and 12 students, full-length mock board exams to prepare for the final CBSE board examinations.

Annual Examinations

Final examinations covering the entire syllabus, contributing to 40% of the final grade for non-board classes.

Board Examinations (Grade 10 & 12)

CBSE board examinations conducted in March, with results typically declared in May.
